GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Provides directions to the staff of designers creating an effective atmosphere through leadership, coaching, and development of their team members, and strives to provide the highest quality arts in the industry while at the same time, producing it in a cost effective, within Jostens manufacturing capabilities. It is accountable for new product development activities that help to meet the company goals and it is also responsible for ensuring support following all quality initiatives. Provides help and assists in all the activities related to the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage Art operations, supervise designers, and manage resources
Asses staff computer skills and development needs and guide designers
Ensure quality requirements are met supporting and following up quality department initiatives
Ensure customer requirements are met by overseeing product backlogs daily to keep them under control, and use this information to make proper decisions
Support all departmental activities and needs
